Summer 2022 – Cherry and Walnut
This project was the first big undertaking in the new shed space, and provided an opportunity to try out some new techniques.

This was my first time using a router sled for flatting the top and bottom of a slab. Additionally, this project involved a tapering cut for the legs, which I hadn’t done since the D&D table.
The understructure uses through tenons, half-laps, and splined miter joints. And there’s a standard bowtie used to shore up a crack in the top slab. Below are photos from the build, including some alternative leg profiles I considered.
