Autumn 2022 – Red Oak
Based exactly on the plans from Foundations of Woodworking by Michael Pekovich.
Exactly following a pre-existing design was a new challenge for me. My process is usually more iterative, and I typically do my own design. This project was an affirmation of skills and a great learning opportunity. In particular Pekovich’s design does an excellent job of integrating a lot of fine details that elevate the overall build. The leg shape is a personal favorite; it creates a light yet engaging look and feel.
